JOB TITLE:   Global Commercial Training Manager – Global Blood Solutions

 

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for developing global training and education strategy for Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies – Global Blood Solutions (GBS) business area.  Position is responsible for identifying learning requirements, designing, planning, and implementing curricula and executing training programs to meet the ongoing education requirements for clinical, sales and marketing associates, distributors, and customers.  Acts as subject matter expert for GBS devices and products across the organization.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Identifies development requirements for new global sales, clinical, marketing, and technical associates, distributors, and non-commercial associates to meet the new hire and ongoing training needs of the company specific to GBS
  • Provide expert knowledge of customers’ processes, needs, and challenges
  • Partner with global platform leaders and regional experts to provide customer voice in the design and development of software and products
  • Acts as subject matter expert of the systems and products. Understands and leverages the implications of their application, such as clinical aspects, standardization of collections, data management
  • Work cross-functionally with regional and field specialists, platform leaders, engineering, and quality to investigate, resolve, and communicate customer issues. Respond with a sense of urgency to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Work’s cross-functionally with marketing, legal, regulatory, sales and other subject matter experts to design and develop innovative and effective training programs
  • Serve as master-level trainer for assigned products and solutions.
  • Develop post-training survey, metrics, and analysis to assess the effectiveness of product knowledge and training programs for clinical technical and sales associates, distributors, and other customers
  • Develops the strategy for technical training solutions for associates and customers
  • Develops global standards for e-learning tools, delivery of eSession programs and effective e-learning implementation strategies that will deliver multi-media data and presentations to customers, distributors, partners, and global associates
  • Conduct regular field visits to ensure accuracy and relevance of customer process/training efforts, coach and reinforce product and process knowledge and training skills
  • Utilizes sound project management principles to meet timelines, manage resources (vendors and budget) and deliver against agreed upon project deliverables
  • Evaluates new and relevant training delivery systems and support mechanisms to maintain

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or, equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.

 

Experience

  • Minimum 8 years’ direct customer experience, or in a customer support or service role, including minimum of 2 years training experience.
  • Educational program development and delivery experience within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry is required.  Experience within blood center or hospital transfusion environment preferred.
  • MT(ASCP), BB(ASCP), and/or SBB(ASCP) preferred.

  • Requires professional technical knowledge and demonstrated competency in the following areas:  Presentation/platform skills, meeting leadership/group facilitation, business acumen, adult learning principles and methodologies, computer literacy, survey design/creation, evaluation methodologies, and team development and facilitation
  • Ability to utilize project management skills to manage projects to meet deliverables and deadlines
  • Knowledge and use of relevant PC software applications and skills to use them effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

 

Typical Office Environment requirements include: reading, speaking, hearing, close vision, walking, bending, sitting, and occasional lifting to 20 pounds.

Additional Physical Requirements

Domestic and international travel. (up to 50%)

 

 

Target Pay Range:  $117,900.00 to $147,400.00  -  Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base:  10.0%
