Executive Assistant/Corporate Paralegal



Under minimal supervision, provides project and executive support to SVP, General Counsel, anticipating needs of the Legal, Compliance & Government Affairs function and the broader organization.



  • Participates in, coordinates, and leads projects of a specialized and complex nature involving analytical thinking and judgment.
  • Takes initiative to report on project status by anticipating and alerting manager and internal customers of potential project difficulties.
  • Identifies process improvements and assists in planning, coordinating, and implementing new programs or procedures.
  • Professionally and confidentially handles both routine and non-routine requests for information and assistance using discretion in determining whether the situation can be handled personally or should be referred to the manager or others for dispositions.
  • Establishes priorities and manage a diverse workload.
  • Executes administrative support functions including managing calendars, arranging/coordinating meetings, travel coordination, expense reporting, and other administrative requests
  • Facilitates coordination among members of the Legal, Compliance & Government affairs leadership team and coordinates quarterly department meetings.
  • Supports coordination of Board meetings, including board materials, agendas, and scheduling.
  • Coordinates commercial compliance meetings to ensure cross-functional and global cadence.
  • Supports contract management, including filing and maintenance of contracts.
  • Establishes, implements, and maintains procedures and systems for processing work, administrative tasks and projects, communicating schedules, and keeping records.
  • Establishes, revises, and maintains office/online organization systems that require knowledge of department operations and discretion in determining the proper place for documents.
  • Coordinates filing of corporate governance documentation with minimal oversight.
  • Manages outside counsel billing in a timely manner.
  • Provides back up support for other Executives/Executive Assistants when needed.




  • May lead cross-functional meetings.
  • Order business supplies as necessary.





Bachelor’s degree or, equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.


  • Minimum 7 years experience working in a legal environment.
  • Experience working in a global environment.
  • Professional certification or equivalent experience in working with senior level executives preferred; experience as a corporate paralegal or paralegal certificate a plus.



  • Extensive knowledge of English, other languages a plus.
  • Requires the ability to handle constant interruptions.
  • Resourcefulness and the abilities to problem solve and make decisions independently.
  • Ability to work with care regarding confidential matters.
  • Has in-depth and/or breadth of expertise in own discipline and broad knowledge of other disciplines within the function.
  • Organizational skills and demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. 
  • Ability to successfully undertake multiple assignments simultaneously. 
  • Ability to develop programmatic visions and develop plans to implement those visions.
  • Knowledge and use of relevant PC software applications and skills to use them effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Requires in-depth knowledge of corporate operations, policies, and procedures.
  • Possesses all basic and advanced skills and knowledge.
  • Has a thorough understanding of the total process flow.
  • Considers the impact on the customer when making decisions.
  • Uses judgment and tact.



An equivalent competency level acquired through a variation of these qualifications may be considered.


Typical Office Environment requirements include: reading, speaking, hearing, close vision, walking, bending, sitting, and occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.

Target Pay Range:  $28.00 to $35.00 -  Hourly pay rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base:  7.0%
