JOB SUMMARY

Provides key leadership, vision, and management in defining and implementing the marketing strategy for the Plasma product portfolio globally. Responsible for oversight and success of all aspects of the strategic direction through both direct and indirect responsibility.  Has direct responsibility for Plasma portfolio development inclusive of hardware, disposables and software applications to provide a full ecosystem.  Works closely with the customers and develops strategies to successfully identify business opportunities and new marketing solutions. Drives strategic direction of all new products or solutions.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Marketing Leadership

  • Develop and implement global marketing strategy for product positioning, market penetration and segmentation, and global pricing that will improve the organization’s competitive position and is consistent with the organization’s overall mission, vision, and objectives. Manages the strategic development, management, execution, key market trends and competitor information.
  • Establishes market strategies that disrupt historic buyer conventions or product/service offerings.
  • Monitor, analyze, and evaluate market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activity to identify market opportunities; adjust marketing strategy and plans to meet changing markets and competitive conditions
  • Develop strategic financial analyses, including multiple variables, impact on sales and ROI.
  • Significant contribution to the development of the marketing budget and manage according to it, including periodic adjustments.
  • Leverage relationships with strategic customers to maximize the organization’s global business interests, understand spoken and unspoken needs to deliver value-added solutions
     

Marketing Business Partnership

  • Identifies business opportunities by specific marketing area and develop support tools and new programs in a timely and high-quality manner. Leverages voice of customer (VOC) input to support global strategic growth plan.
  • Cultivates strong integration with all organizations including regional leadership, direct and general sales, I&D, customer and technical support, and various corporate functions.
  • Provides appropriate feedback from field to support product design, functionality, translation priorities, sales force collaterals, and customer communication materials to insure effectiveness. Also includes local crisis management/quality issue resolution aligned with quality and operations.

 

Marketing Activities

  • Support development of marketing plans for specific products, protocols, and/or product enhancements, ensuring proper positioning strategies.  Accountable for effectiveness of pre-launch, launch, and post-launch activities to meet customer expectations.
  • Accountable for the sales on launch plans, forecasts in sales (units, revenue) market share/penetration goals, profitability and is also accountable with country sales for overall achievement on actual vs. Plan, ASP, product mix, disposable utilization, and competitive information.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.  A Master’s degree (MBA) is highly preferred.

 

Experience

  • Generally requires a minimum of 12 years of experience, in the area(s) of sales and/or marketing with five or more years in medical device marketing and/or healthcare marketing (i.e. pharmaceutical or diagnostics).  Global marketing experience preferred.

 

Skills

  • Demonstrated leadership and managerial skill in direct team management as well as functional alignment and influence cross-functionally.
  • Advanced marketing techniques and a strong working knowledge of market/clinical execution; thorough understanding of marketplace dynamics as they relate to product, market, price, and promotion.
  • Extensive knowledge of product positioning and competitive knowledge of Plasma market & regulations worldwide.
  • Knowledge of relevant PC software applications and skills to use them effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Requires moderate domestic and some international travel

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Typical Office Environment requirements include: reading, speaking, hearing, close vision, walking, bending, sitting, and occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.

Target Pay Range:  $175,000 to $210,000  -  Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base:  30.0%
