JOB TITLE:   Director, Human Resources (HR) – Global Operations

 

JOB SUMMARY

This Global HR leadership position is the strategic HR Leader for Global Operations Team of the business. The critical role is responsible for partnering with leaders to design, develop, align and implement the People Strategy to enable associate engagement and deliver talent-organizational performance to achieve Terumo BCT strategic objectives and long-term goals. This role is part of the Global Operations Leadership Team and will be leading the local HR Teams in the various manufacturing operations sites in the regions with 5 direct reports and a total global HR team of 25 FTEs. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Reporting directly to the SVP HR, Chief People Officer, working closely with the Ops Leaders and leading the HRBPs in the various manufacturing plants in the US, UK, Vietnam, India, Costa Rica to deliver critical areas in the employee life cycle:

 

  • Strategic Business Partnering – the HRBP for Global Manufacturing Leader and participates as a member of the Global Operations and HR leadership teams in shaping business strategies, developing organizations and leading the people agenda for the Operations teams globally.
  • Talent Management (TM)– partners with HR and business leaders to design and develop a Talent strategy aligned with the People Strategy and drives all talent processes to enable the business to meet its goals and objectives globally.
  • Talent Acquisition (TA) & Employer Value Proposition - drives the EVP to attract, identify/select and retain the best talent within and outside the organization through the local HR team to fill critical roles in the manufacturing sites.
  • Performance & Total Rewards – aligns with the TR COE to develop and implement performance management process, compensation and benefits programs and practices through the local HR team in the manufacturing sites.
  • Talent & Org Development– coaches leaders and leads local HRBPs and aligned with the T&OD COE to develop and drive talent development as well as organizational health, development, and effectiveness. Partners with other support functions like Legal, Finance, and Communications teams to manage and execute organizational changes. 
  • Learning - Aligns with organizational requirements to ensure design, development and delivery of general learning programs in the region. Functional/Technical learning is owned and delivered by functional/technical experts (not HR)
  • HR Operations – leads the local HRBP in sites to ensure efficient HR service delivery, including payroll in markets.
  • Safety, Health, and Wellness – aligned with the COVID global response team to support associates’ safety, productivity (future of work) and health by directing the local HRBPs for activities in various sites. Drives and supports the associate health and wellness programs through local HR teams in manufacturing sites.
  • Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) – partners with HR and business leaders to lead the development of the DE&I strategy and implementation of programs/initiatives and integrates them into HR processes (i.e TA).
  • HR Compliance and Employee Relations – partners with our Legal/Law team to ensure the “Respectful Workplace” initiatives, ER/investigations and Remediation plans are managed by the local HRBPs. Maintains knowledge of regional and local HR policies, programs, laws and issues.  Understands the differences of domestic and international policies and programs and coordinates the integration of all such programs. Monitors for the relevance, application, and adherence of key corporate policies and procedures and ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations. 

 

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reports to SVP HR/CPO and a Member of the HR Leadership Team (HRLT).
  • Part of the Terumo Corporation’s (TC) Extended Global HR Community and works pro-actively in close collaboration and partnership with all Terumo BCT functions and departments and within Terumo Corporation and its companies.

 

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

 

Education

Bachelor’s degree required.  Master degree in Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology or Management preferred.

 

Location:  This position is located in Lakewood, CO and role requires you to live within the Denver Metropolitan Area.

 

Experience

  • Minimum 15 years of experience with at least 5 years at Director-level (or above) in Human Resources
  • Breadth of Business and Regional Human Resources experiences in large and medium-size manufacturing companies required and with international experience or exposure doing HR for multiple markets (regional) preferred.
  • Depth in at least 2 specific critical areas such as HR Business Partnering (HRBP), Org Development (Change Mgt./DE&I), Total Rewards (C&B), Talent (Talent Aquisition-Talent Mgt.) or HR Operations (Employee Relations/HRIS).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Typical Office Environment requirements include: reading, speaking, hearing, close vision, walking, bending, sitting, and occasional lifting to 20 pounds.

Target Pay Range:  $162,400.00 to $200,000 -  Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base:  30.0
