Commercial FP&A Manager



Responsible for leading and managing a small-medium size business partner role within the commercial organization..  This involves partnering with the leadership team, leading planning processes, identifying/leading major projects, development of key management reporting/dashboards, thought leadership on analytics/reporting architecture, and providing general finance business partner support for assigned functions. This role will also provide direct support to the Commercial FP&A director relating to the global sales support and sales planning/forecasting.



  • Analyzes, identifies, and communicates trends and issues impacting the business on an ongoing basis; makes recommendations on system design, reporting, analytics and overall strategic direction of the Commercial FP&A function.
  • Analyze financial data, models, reports and transle data in to meaningful and succinct communications.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to develop actionable operational/financial dashboards to evaluate the business against strategic goals and short-term targets.
  • Developing, in partnership with the executive FP&A leadership, planning processes and timelines for key planning activities (Forecasts, Annual Plan, Long Range Plan, etc.).
  • Leading the effective and efficient execution of periodic forecasts, annual plans and strategic planning processes by working cross-functionally and cross-geographically.
  • Potential leadership and supervision of one or more financial analysists.
  • Develop business cases and associated financial models independently or in partnership with management.
  • Develops and analyzes complex business scenarios/models ranging across all business disciplines (commercial, factory operations, product development, information systems, etc.).
  • Develop in-depth understanding of the overall enterprise business and of the business fundamentals of any supported functions.
  • Work with management to plan, forecast and analyze sales, margins, operating expenses or capital expenses on a monthly basis.
  • Working independently or in partnership with IT/Financial Systems teams to develop, maintain or enhance financial systems, tools and reporting.




  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration or equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.


  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in an FP&A role or financial analysis/management.
  • Experience in financial forecasting and planning including managing the forecast or planning process, working cross-functionally resolving forecast/budget issues, driving a forecast/plan process to closure, analysis of forecast/plan results, and effective communication of completed forecast/plan results.
  • Previous experience performing financial accounting duties helpful.
  • Experience working as a business partner supporting Sales/Marketing, Product Development, Factory Operations or Information Technology functions.
  • Evaluating processes and developing recommendations for process improvements.
  • Experience leading and managing small to medium sized projects.
  • Proven experience interacting effectively with executive leadership and ability to work in cross functional teams.



  • Demonstrated ability to write professional executive reports, commentary and develop PowerPoint decks appropriate for all levels of management.
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles.  Understanding of general accounting, project accounting, and cost accounting.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills, including the ability to multitask, work in an independent manner and seek assistance as needed.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in both an in-person and remote environment.
  • Proven ability to interpret complex financial information and deliver conclusions and recommendations based on financial analysis in an easy to understand and concise fashion.
  • Expert analytical, spreadsheet, data modeling and data visualization skills; proven ability to develop complex financial models.
  • Effective people and process leadership skills.
  • Ability to use modern ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (ability to manage large data sets, use/write VB Code, advance formula expertise).
  • Experience working with business analytics and data visualization tools such as MS Power BI, Tableau, etc.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations


Accounting or Finance Certification such as CPA, CMA, etc. is a plus

Target Pay Range:  $98,100.00 to $122,600.00  -  Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base:  7.0%
