JOB TITLE: Benefits Analyst Sr

 

 

JOB SUMMARY

 

The Senior Benefits Analyst is responsible for the design, administration, compliance, and analysis of U.S. employee benefit programs, including health and welfare plans, retirement plans, and leave programs. This role ensures that benefits offerings are competitive, cost-effective, and aligned with company strategy while maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Plan Administration:
    • Manage day-to-day operations of health, welfare, and retirement plans (medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, 401(k), etc.).
    • Serve as primary liaison with vendors and third-party administrators to resolve issues and ensure service quality.
  • Compliance & Governance:
    • Ensure compliance with ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, COBRA, FMLA, and other applicable laws and regulations.
    • Prepare and review required filings (e.g., Form 5500) and assist with audits.
  • Employee Support:
    • Provide guidance to employees on benefits programs, policies, and procedures.
    • Develop and deliver communication materials for annual enrollment and ongoing education.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting:
    • Analyze benefits utilization, costs, and trends; recommend plan design changes to optimize cost and employee experience.
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for leadership.
  • Vendor Management:
    • Monitor vendor performance and service-level agreements.
    • Participate in vendor selection and renewal processes.
  • Projects & Process Improvement:
    • Lead or support benefits-related projects, including system implementations and process enhancements.
    • Stay current on industry trends and legislative changes impacting benefits.

-Experience with HRIS and benefits administration platforms (SAP, etc.).

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of experience in U.S. benefits administration and compliance.
    • Strong knowledge of ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, and retirement plan regulations.
  • Skills:
    • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

CEBS or other benefits-related certification.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Typical Office Environment requirements include: reading, speaking, hearing, close vision, traverse, bending, sitting, and occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.

 

 

 

 

Target Pay Range:  $78,200.00 to $97,700.00  -  Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base:  7.0%
