Associate Content Developer

 

JOB SUMMARY

Under general supervision, provides communication support by developing technical materials for Terumo BCT businesses, product lines, and corporate services directed at external customer and/or internal audiences.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Obtains knowledge of the businesses’ products and the therapies in which they are used.
  • Obtains knowledge of industry, regulatory, linguistic, and publication standards and applies this knowledge to the completion of all projects.
  • Works with internal customers to produce technical content that addresses technical problems of moderate complexity within areas of responsibility.
  • Partners with subject matter experts to develop technical content in order to achieve specific and immediate business objectives; metrics will be used to determine effectiveness of content.
  • Work with the SMEs to gather information about the products to create technical content.
  • Checks-in/Checks-out topics from the CMS system and routes the topics through the workflow to the correct people.
  • Enter content into the different information types (tasks, concepts, references) and apply appropriate metadata in the CMS.
  • Takes the initiative to report on project status and anticipates and alerts manager and internal customers of potential project difficulties.
  • Assists in the maintenance of art, photo, and electronic and printed document files to meet departmental and regulatory requirements.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

 

Education

Bachelor’s degree or, equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.

 

Experience

Minimum 2 years experience

 

Skills

  • Knowledge of the businesses’ products and the therapies in which they are used.
  • Functional knowledge of industry and regulatory, marketing, linguistic, and publication standards and applies this knowledge to the completion of all projects.
  • Ability to collaborate and translate business objectives into tangible technical content for skill development at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing/editing, graphic design
  • Organizing skills and the demonstrated ability for attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively and comfortably with all levels within the businesses.
  • Able to drive for results- seeing projects through completion.
  • Willingness to learn the technical/functional skill to operate content management systems, XML, desktop publishing systems, and Arbortext
  • Understand and apply DITA models.
  • Ability to work in a team environment

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Typical Office Environment requirements include: reading, speaking, hearing, close vision, walking, bending, sitting, and occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.

Target Pay Range:  $51,200.00 to $64,100.00  -  Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base:  7.0%
