JOB TITLE: Supply Chain Engineer
JOB SUMMARY
Under very general supervision, design and develop innovative Supply Chain automation and management system solutions. Person will work closely with peers, leads from cross functional teams and managers to evaluate and understand requirements, identify gaps and come up with best ways to achieve the solution.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
• Evaluating existing supply chain processes to identify areas that need optimization.
• Managing Supply Chain projects from initiation to close: project vetting, team formation, planning, execution, stakeholder alignment/communication, and capture of delivered value.
• Developing and implementing a comprehensive supply chain strategy.
• Collaborating on supply chain procedures, including inventory management, warehousing, automation, systems integration, and distribution.
• Collecting and interpreting analytical and performance data to determine supply chain KPIs.
• Recommending and implementing supply chain improvements, as well as documenting processes.
• Organize engineering projects through BOM management, quotes and purchase orders. Develop timelines, track, and drive vendors towards successful completion of projects.
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Enginnering, Operations, Business Analytics or Business Administration.
Experience
Minimum 2 year experience as a supply chain engineer in a similar industry.
SAP experience is a plus.
Skills
• Knowledge of manufacturing, quality, planning, documentation systems and processes.
• Demonstrated analytical thinking skills and the ability to organize and facilitate manufacturing problem solving teams.
• Ability to interact with diplomacy and tact while maintaining appropriate assertiveness and persistence.
• Knowledge of the maintenance of manufacturing inventory controls and related purchasing, finished goods and service needs.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Knowledge and use of relevant PC software applications and skills to use them effectively.
