Job summary:

This role serves as the primary Talent Acquisition parter in Costa Rica, responsible for full-cycle recruiting support across Terumo Blood and Cell Technology and Terumo Cardio. The position reports to local HR leadership in partnership with the Sr. Manager, Global Talent Acquisition to deliver recruiting strategies, hiring execution, workforce planning support, and process consistency. This role also plays a key role in establishing and building ATS capability for Terumo Cardio in Costa Rica while partnering with broader TA stakeholders on system alignment and recruiting process effectiveness.

 

Essential duties:

  • Identifies, develops, and executes recruitment strategies and campaigns to attract high-quality talent.
  • Manages full-cycle recruitment processes from requisition intake through offer negotiation and onboarding coordination.
  • Partners with hiring managers, HR Business Partners, and leadership teams across Terumo BCT and Terumo Cardio.
  • Supports workforce planning, headcount forecasting, and hiring prioritization for both businesses.
  • Develops sourcing strategies leveraging, universities, talent pipelines, and professional networks.
  • Manages vendor relationships and recruitment service providers to ensure cost efficiency and quality delivery.
  • Designs and supports structured selection processes, competency-based interviewing, and candidate assessment methodologies.
  • Partners in the implementation and continuous improvement of ATS platforms
  • Tracks, analyzes, and reports recruitment KPIs, labor market insights, and hiring trends.
  • Identifies process improvement opportunities to enhance recruitment effectiveness and candidate experience.
  • Coaches hiring managers on interviewing best practices, selection consistency, and talent decision-making.
  •  Ensures compliance with Costa Rican labor regulations, company policies, equal opportunity principles, and ethical hiring standards.
  •  Supports employer branding initiatives and recruitment process consistency across both business units.

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or related field. Equivalent education and relevant experience may be considered.

 

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in recruitment, staffing, or Talent Acquisition.
  • Experience working in a stand-alone or highly autonomous recruiter role
  • Experience implementing or helping stand up recruiting processes and systems
  • Experience supporting multiple business units or matrixed stakeholders
  • Experience operating in environments with evolving TA infrastructure
  • Strong sourcing, interviewing, screening, and candidate evaluation capabilities.
  • Analytical ability to identify trends and provide proactive talent solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills; bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English required.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority.
  • High sense of urgency and strong execution focus.
  • Collaborative, consultative, and service-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, HR systems, ATS, and recruitment technologies.
  • High level of confidentiality, judgment, and professionalism.
