JOB TITLE: Project Manager
JOB SUMMARY
The Project Manager is responsible for driving successful project delivery at our strategic Costa Rica R&D Center of Excellence, ensuring execution excellence in sustaining and product development activities across our advanced medical device portfolio. Working closely with a cross-functional core team, this position exercises technical project management skills to deliver high-quality product sustainment and development efforts on schedule, on budget, and within scope.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
· Create and execute project plans and revises as appropriate for project needs and status.
· Define and manage sustaining and iterative development projects of small to moderate scope.
· Facilitate and coordinate activities and tasks involving project scope, schedule and budget.
· Facilitate the definition of quality and risk and manages the project accordingly.
· Track status and metrics on the project delivery involving scope, schedule and budget.
· Resolve and/or escalate project-related issues in a timely fashion.
· Manage communications, expectations, and interactions with all departments and internal stakeholders.
· Deliver informative, well-organized presentations on project status and selected project topics.
· Track lessons learned and shares with team members
· Drive risk mitigation strategies to ensure delivery of project commitments
· Manage development teams across onshore and offshore locations
· Continuously improve effectiveness and efficiencies of a team’s performance and productivity
· Support teams and projects in the completion of Design Control artifacts and deliverables
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline required or equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered
Experience
· 3+ years of project management experience
· Track record of successful project delivery
· Experience managing multiple concurrent development projects
· Experience working with distributed/offshore teams and stakeholders
· Experience with project management tools and tracking systems.
Skills
· Ability to manage the project lifecycle from initiation to close.
· Experience in defining objectives, budgets, detailed work breakdown structures, and schedules for a large or complex set of related projects or programs.
· Demonstrated project planning, estimation, and resource management capabilities
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate cross-functional teams
· Strong risk assessment and mitigation skills
· Experience facilitating team meetings
· Excellent verbal and written English communication abilities
· Strong interpersonal and team-building capabilities
· Demonstrated leadership and conflict resolution skills
· Ability to influence without direct authority
· Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
· Decision-making skills under pressure
· Ability to understand and communicate technical system features, functionality and dependencies
· Shown ability to effectively collaborate with third party vendors, technical resources and stakeholders.
· Familiarity with FDA Design Controls and QMS processes desired
