Job summary:

Works independently, developing objectives, and plans for all or major portions of Manufacturing Operations.  Control’s function or functions to achieve an end result that supports business and corporate goals.  Ensures the development of plans and implementation strategies that integrate with such plans and strategies in other areas of the business and corporation.

 

Essential duties:

  • Manages and provides leadership for the functional groups development, direction, and effectiveness, adhering to organizational policies and processes and supporting overall business and corporate objectives.
  • Owns the Manufacturing training strategy to include, process improvements, headcount coordination, training, leadership development and documentation. 
  • Owns 1 to 3 year process improvements to be delivered in the 3 to 5 year plan, for Production Support. 
  • Analyzes changing business and customer needs constantly and plans organizational or systems changes to address those needs.  Recommends changes to other areas that will improve overall effectiveness of operations and/or quality group.
  • Participates and promotes subordinate participation on cross-functional and/or inter organizational teams.  Frequently leads such teams or task groups especially when the scope is broad and/or the issue complex.
  • Works closely with senior level people within and outside of company to resolve highly complex, sensitive issues.
  • Identify, develop, and report critical metrics for area, with cascading metrics for associates.
  • Implement and support continuous improvement.

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.

 

Licenses or certifications:

  • N/A.

 

Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in similar positions.
  • Experience is gained by becoming an expert in one or more of the following areas: Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Laboratory Operations, Sterilization Processes, or Materials Planning.
