Job summary:

Under general supervision, performs timely and accurate work on a range of standard testing, experiments, setup of raw materials, clean-up of equipment, and other tasks related to the scientific or engineering fields in compliance with the Company and external regulatory guidelines, policies, and procedures.

 

Essential duties:

  • Performs a range of standardized/routine and somewhat special testing procedures of environmental monitoring and product testing using standard tools.
  • Review sterilization documentation and completes the sterilization certificate.
  • Identifies standard trends or problems and helps to investigate and resolve them.
  • Performs standard equipment tests/inspections. Assists engineers, designers, or scientists in the simple design and building of tests protocols, test fixtures, prototypes, etc. commensurate with experience level.
  • Handles expense material requisitions up to a level determined by the department.
  • Prepares and implements protocols and procedures involving known infectious or potentially infectious agents.
  • Maintains, accurately follows, and records protocols/procedures, laboratory quality records/documentation, and test logs.
  • Operates standard laboratory equipment (e.g., balances, pH meter, and pipettes).
  • Attend meetings and capture important information or tasks related to Microbiology, good manufacturing practices and sterility.

 

Education:

  • Two-year technical degree or an equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions in the following lab sciences areas: microbiology, chemistry, math.

 

Licenses or certifications:

  • N/A.

 

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience or equivalent combination of college education and experience.
