Job summary:

Provide Human Resource expertise in support of the Human Resources Business Partner team, and to the business in associate relations, compensation, benefits, Affirmative Action, associate development, and performance and talent management.

 

Essential duties:

  • Act as the point of contact for respective business groups as it relates to various HR related processes and guidelines.
  • Recommend courses of action and alternatives to managers regarding situations/issues which may have legal liabilities and to proactively develop appropriate measures and tools to improve situations.
  • Assist in the development of company policies/guidelines and counsel managers/associates in areas such as sexual harassment, policy violations, performance improvement, associate engagement, retention, work related issues, career development and benefits.  Address opportunities that impact morale and productivity.
  • Investigate various grievances, compile documentation, and draft recommendations.  Mitigate legal risk through proper documentation and sound decision-making. 
  • Direct others in areas such as policy interpretation, interpersonal skills, federal and state requirements/legislation, compensation, and benefits.
  • Report and analyze various HR trends and statistics establishing methods to track HR metrics. 
  • Assist or lead in the rollout of HR initiated projects.
  • Lead internal audits to ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Partner with appropriate business associates in recruitment process, developing and integrating new associates.
  • Conduct exit interviews and identify retention risk areas/themes.

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or, equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.

 

Licenses or certifications:

  • N/A.

 

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
