JOB TITLE:  Facilities Services Supervisor

 

 

JOB SUMMARY

Working under minimum supervision, this position includes the daily supervision and monitoring of existing contracts, custodial/housekeeping processes, and associates.  This position provides substantial input into the development of new processes and systems to meet current and future needs in a rapidly changing environment. 

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Manages and provides leadership for the functional group’s development, direction, and effectiveness, adhering to organizational policies and processes and supporting overall business and corporate objectives.
  • May manage the clean room housekeeping associates daily, including the quality requirements inside the controlled environment.
  • Partners with departments across the business to provide Facilities’ support for projects and customer requests.
  • Trains and integrates new associates on safety and security procedures, processes, and systems.
  • Inspects own work and the work of lower level associates and contractors for compliance to drawings, sketches, written procedures, verbal instructions, or quality requirements.
  • Oversees all service contracts including recycle and waste removal, plants, carpets, pest control, after house custodial, coffee and vending, landscaping, and snow removal.
  • Creates, maintains, and analyzes data for functional area.
  • Participates actively in the annual budgeting process.  Tracks, monitors and maintains spending throughout fiscal year. 
  • Maintains, enhances, and implements internal policies and procedures including those which relate to our regulated environment.
  • Ensures compliance to documentation requirements.
  • Supports and implements Quality Assurance actions.
  • Assists with the on-going maintenance of equipment and subsequent documentation.  
  • Conducts writing and delivering of annual performance reviews for all direct reports.
  • Creates development plan for associates and provides honest and constructive performance feedback.
  • Works with internal resources to resolve problems.
  • Maintains consistency in issues related to company policy and practice.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • May be required to work other shifts, non-standard work, or overtime hours to meet objectives and schedules.
  • May be required to support housekeeping activities to accomplish tasking necessary to meet regulatory requirements.

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

 

Education

High School Diploma or GED.

 

Experience

Minimum 5 years experience.

 

Skills

  • Must be able to work in a clean room environment.
  • Requires comprehensive knowledge of the relevant trade.
  • Knowledge/understanding of basic accounting principles and financial impact.
  • Demonstrated skills in developing, coaching, and training others in an organizational setting.
  • Proven ability to make high-level presentations to management.
  • Effective negotiating skills to obtain the best financial spend for the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Consistently demonstrated interpersonal skills and behaviors utilizing tact, diplomacy, patience, and the ability to handle difficult or complex issues.
  • Knowledge and use of PC software applications and skills to use them effectively.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Must possess a valid driver’s license.

 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

General Labor Environment requirements include: use of personal protective equipment, reading, speaking, hearing, walking, bending, standing, stretching/reaching, hand/finger dexterity, and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, or transporting up to 500 pounds via carts or mechanized equipment.

Additional Physical Requirements

  • May operate material handling equipment.
