JOB SUMMARY

 

Reporting to the GM Emerging Markets, this role provides strategic marketing and project leadership, integrating expertise, resources, and planning across diverse functional, geographic, cultural, and socio-political environments to ensure successful market development and project execution.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Market development:

  • Provide appropriate feedback from geographies to support product design, functionality, translation priorities, sales force collaterals, and customer communication material to insure effectiveness
  • Drive project planning, implementation with sales other key stakeholders
  • Work closely with EMEA marketing managers to successfully identify business opportunities by specific geographic area and develop support tools and new programs in a timely and high-quality manner
  • Manage strategic development and drive execution of all marketing initiatives
  • Support commercialization across customer segments and product portfolio
  • Develop and support KOL management plans
  • Ensure alignment with cross functional departments such as regulatory, medical affairs, market access, sales, service and operations
  • Drive evidence-generation strategies in collaboration with medical affairs to demonstrate clinical and economic value of Terumo BCT solutions, especially in low-resource environments.
  • Lead the development of multi-channel marketing strategies, including digital, in-field education, community outreach, and thought-leadership initiatives relevant for emerging markets.
  • Identify and secure strategic partnerships (e.g., advocacy groups, foundations, global health organizations) to accelerate awareness, adoption, and long-term sustainability.
  • Champion innovative go-to-market models adapted to EM infrastructural realities.
  • Serve as a senior advisor to the EM leadership team on policy, funding, and global health trends.
  • Ensure marketing strategies incorporate health economics, affordability pathways, and access programs tailored to local conditions and stakeholder needs.
  • Provide coaching and leadership to local teams and partners to elevate marketing capability and strategic thinking regionally.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in business and/or marketing is preferred, or equivalent through experience

Experience:

Minimum 5 years’ experience sales and marketing in emerging markets in the healthcare environment (i.e. pharmaceutical/medical devices)

 

SKILLS

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully lead, manage and implement complex, large scale projects by effectively partnering with internal and external key stakeholders within an emerging market
  • Track record of successfully contributing to strategic planning and execution
  • Proven ability to build markets from scratch, ideally launching novel therapies or medical technologies in low-resource or frontier markets.
  • Strong ability to turn complex clinical, operational, and policy insights into clear, compelling marketing narratives and commercial strategies.
  • Highly advanced analytical skills with experience in scenario planning, forecasting in uncertain environments, and data-poor market decision making.
  • Ability to lead 360° marketing programs, including segmentation, targeting, value proposition development, tactical execution, and measurement.
  • Experience building local champions and KOL networks in emerging markets to accelerate adoption and credibility.
  • Ability to work effectively and comfortably with multiple levels (within a blood center or hospital) as well as all functions and levels within the business organization
  • Ability to manage by influence in a complex and dynamic environment
  • Experienced in customer negotiations
  • Experience executing large infrastructural projects, preferably in hospital and blood bank domain
  • Proven ability to drive revenue through creative sales channels and marketing programs
  • Creative thinker with the ability to provide both strategic and tactical innovation
  • Fluent in English and Arabic, both written and spoken
  • Ability to provide an inspirational vision and trigger strong engagement both internally as externally
  • Advanced sales and marketing techniques and a strong working knowledge of market/clinical execution
  • Extensive knowledge of sales and marketing strategic planning through program delivery/execution

People Management Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams, including managing direct reports across diverse geographies and cultural backgrounds.
  • Proven experience in setting clear priorities, providing structured feedback, and building accountability within a remote or hybrid team environment.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to inspire, motivate, and guide team members through complex, long-term projects in challenging emerging market settings.
  • Ability to foster collaboration, build trust, and create a culture of continuous improvement and empowerment within the team.
