Job Summary
The EMEA Marketing Communications Manager drives content and engagement, customer experience and brand visibility across multiple channels for the complete portfolio of Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies products and solutions in the EMEA Region (Europe, Middle East and Africa). In alignment with EMEA Marketing and Marcom as well as with Global Marcom, this role is responsible for bridging our global marketing strategy with regional execution by transforming complex clinical and portfolio strategies into compelling, compliant, and actionable campaigns and programs that drive demand, enable sales, and accelerate funnel conversion. This role works cross-functionally across regional marketing, sales, distributors, market access, medical affairs, legal, regulatory and with our global corporate communications team and digital marketing.
This manager is responsible for developing, executing, and measuring integrated (360°), end-to-end MarCom programs, and campaigns across EMEA for the business, using an omni-channel approach tailored to regional business need and customer segment, with customer experience at the center of everything. This role owns strategy development end-to-end — not only execution — and works cross-functionally across the business, including marketing, sales, distributors, market access, medical affairs, creative team, etc., to bring campaigns to life. This includes working closely with scientific and clinical data and leveraging it within compliant, impactful MarCom content and experiences. The role also builds and enforces scalable MarCom processes and performance data governance, and supports regional event management, congress strategy, and digital MarCom innovation across EMEA.
Essential Duties
• Design and own integrated, 360° MarCom — connecting digital, content, events, and sales enablement into a coherent campaign flow — translating regional business and product strategy into executed omni-channel programs across EMEA market segments and acting as a strategic advisor to the wider marketing team.
• Partner with the Global Marketing Communications Managers in the Businesses to ensure alignment with the global strategy.
• Build a genuine partnership with commercial teams (sales/distributors) to understand market and customer needs first-hand and translate that insight into sharper MarCom strategy and content and share knowledge with the global marcom team.
• Place customer experience at the center of everything developed — digital content, campaigns, and events alike — ensuring every touchpoint is designed around a coherent, high-quality experience for the end customer.
• Manage MarCom content, tools, and campaigns for congresses and customer events — virtual, in-person, or hybrid in a completely compliant fashion
• Identify, build, and manage relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, digital opinion leaders, as well as patient associations; identify and lead opportunities to leverage their voice and credibility within MarCom content.
• Work with Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Regulatory to leverage scientific and clinical data within MarCom campaigns, translating complex data into clear, compliant, and impactful content and experiences.
• Ensure all customer-facing MarCom, advertising, promotional, training, and support materials comply with the Customer-facing Material Change Process (CMCP) and brand/messaging consistency standards.
• Collaborate with Global and Regional Marcom to design and implement scalable MarCom processes and actively identify opportunities to improve team efficiency.
• Define KPIs for digital campaigns and communications, regularly track performance, and provide insights to inform strategic decision-making. Leverage data to continuously refine tactics and demonstrate campaign ROI.
• Proactively investigate and pilot new MarCom channels, tools, and technologies to keep the function's capabilities current and competitive, with genuine curiosity about AI — embracing available AI capabilities to develop content, speed up execution, and surface sharper audience and market insights.
