JOB TITLE:  Senior Sales Consultant, Cell Therapy Solutions-San Francisco based- Supporting NorthWest Region 

 

JOB SUMMARY

This is a field-based position that will cover a specific territory as a Sr Sales Consultant, Cell Therapy Solutions. The candidate will be responsible for achieving and exceeding the assigned territory sales plan by driving awareness and implementation of Terumo BCT’s Cell Therapy Solutions portfolio. This individual must have a strong technical competence in the areas of cell and gene therapy manufacturing and automated processing technologies in the life sciences/ biotech market.

 

This role will be based directly in or closely by a biotech/ biopharma centralized location in North America.

 

The Sr Sales Consultant, Cell Therapy Solutions must demonstrate deep technical credibility to effectively consult with customers and prospects to influence key decisions on technology and product choices. Strong business sense is also required to translate successful account strategy into business results.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Develops and manages a business plan to meet or exceed territory sales goals and achieve appropriate sales price targets. 
  • Build  relevant account strategies to maximize market adoption of Terumo BCT’s Cell Therapy portfolio in assigned territory. Drive additional utilization and increase share of wallet across existing accounts with equal focus on targeting new customer not using our portfolio.
  • Actively prospect and develop sales funnel in this rapidly evolving and expanding segment through performing selling activities such as social selling, cold calling, engaging presentations, trade shows and hosting seminars.
  • Effectively competes to WIN projects versus competitors by successfully positioning our solutions to address customer needs and objections, as well as engaging with all levels of customer call points.
  • Set up and lead business reviews in territory-assigned accounts. Identify emerging, high growth accounts. Build and coordinate relevant account strategy with internal partner teams to  develop and strengthen relationships with senior level account executives and Key Opinion Leaders to build win-win business results.
  • Apply established internal systems, tools and funnel management processes rigorously to maintain accurate reporting, records and files necessary for proper territory management. Includes accurate and timely forecasting for equipment and disposable purchases.
  • Attend tradeshow events both locally and throughout North America for the CGT market.
  • Continuously stays up-to-date and sharpens technical knowledge within the rapidly evolving CGT market.
  • Influences cross-functional partners to generate end-customer value and deliver a delightful customer experience.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

 

Education

Bachelor’s degree in a related science field (immunology, cell biology etc.) required. Advanced degree preferred.

 

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of life sciences sales experience with a strong track record for sales achievement

 

Skills

  • Demonstrate deep technical ability to consult with customers on their needs to scale and derisk their manufacturing processes to maximize market adoption of our products. Understands and navigates the competitive landscape to present our portfolio as the best possible solutions.
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively interact and sell concepts and ideas with customer middle and upper level management decision makers.
  • Solid understanding of cell therapy development roadmap from process development towards commercialization
  • Strong negotiation, communication, presentation and resolution skills
  • Financial competence and self-leadership with a focus on analysis, planning, organization, execution and followup
  • A strong teammate with proven track record to coordinate activities within a matrixed environment and influence actions across a team of resources not directly reporting within
  • Knowledge and use of relevant PC software applications, CRM (Salesforce.com) and skills to use them effectively. Use of remote sales skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Target Pay Range:  $104,900.00 to $131,200.00  -  Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
