Did you know someone in the United States requires a blood transfusion every two seconds? At Terumo BCT, we provide software applications that assist blood banks in managing this vital blood supply. Our software department is hiring for a Senior Software Engineer to join the team working on the “Next Generation” of TOMEs, our comprehensive data management software application for blood centers.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop a brand-new software product. In this role, you will build a modular, scalable and easily maintainable platform based on a microservice architecture using modern technologies/solutions such as Angular, C# and Open Source solutions such as Docker and RabbitMQ.   • Designing, developing, operating and maintaining software that integrate with engineering, scientific and manufacturing requirements
  • Addressing problems of systems integration, compatibility and multiple platforms as the high-level technical expert
  • Analyzing system capabilities, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls
  • Exercising considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignments   

To be considered, you meet the following qualifications:

  • BS/BA in a STEM discipline
  • 8 years of experience in software application development
    • Preferably in a regulated environment on mission-critical applications, such as medical products or devices
  • Highly skilled in C#
  • Skilled with SQL
  • Skilled in developing technical solutions to complex problems
  • Flexible with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Collaborative, team-oriented developer who excels as a member of an Agile software development team

It would be a bonus if you have experience or working knowledge of:

  • Microservice architectures
  • Cybersecurity / OWASP Top Ten
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • AngularNPM, NuGet, NodeJS, Apache and IIS
  • Linux environments
