Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies is hiring an Engineer 3 to join our Innovation & Development (I&D) department at our global headquarters in Lakewood, Colorado. This team is responsible for sustaining and improvement projects for our Quantum® Cell Expansion System.

An Opportunity to be a Technical Leader:

  • Manage engineering projects and technical tasks for the Quantum® Cell Expansion System
  • Serve as the technical lead for existing project deliverables for next generation Quantum®
  • Contribute to early stages of new product development, including designing how the equipment, disposables, and software function together
  • Mentor and direct work for technicians and junior engineers
  • Administer lab tests to analyze and present data
  • Ensure engineering documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and filed

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering preferred (Mechanical, Chemical and Software)
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in medical device or other regulated industry
    • Experience with ISO 13485 design controls preferred
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, presentations, visualizations)
  • Ability to successfully work across functions (scientific affairs, regulatory, marketing, etc.)
  • Demonstrated technical leadership and project management experience
  • Propensity for systems thinking, with the ability to understand engineering complexities and solve technical problems
  • Mechanical and electronic aptitude to assist with equipment troubleshooting
  • Familiar with cell culture techniques
  • Comfortable working in a blood lab with cells and tissues

Target Pay Range:  $87,800.00 to $109,800.00  -  Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base:  7.0%
