Director, Finance for Global Operations & Supply Chain 



Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Global Operations Finance Director will be a proactive, operationally focused finance leader and business partner to the Operations Leader and CFO, actively involved in supporting critical manufacturing and supply chain initiatives.  This includes, overseeing cost accounting, planning and analysis for each plant, driving low-cost production of high-quality blood cellular management products.  The Global Operations Finance Director will be responsible for leading and directing the financial accounting, reporting and controls of each global manufacturing plant, accountable for implementing and executing financial governance outlined by the CFO and Executive Vice President of Operations.  This position will lead the respective financial controllers of each manufacturing plant (Lakewood Colorado, Littleton Colorado, Larne Northern Ireland, Vietnam, and Penpol India locations with some oversight of a shared cost accounting resource at the Fujinomiya Japan) providing leadership and functional development, and direction for the respective accounting and finance teams.



  • Build and maintain effective relationships with operations leadership, including the Executive Vice President of Operations, the GM of each plant, the Director of Manufacturing Strategy, and Director of Supply Chain, and commercial leadership and finance peers.
  • Partner with global operations to provide global finance support and analysis for key initiatives and projects.  This includes developing business cases and NPV models for key initiatives and potential investments.
  • Support the timely and accurate reporting of the 5 key manufacturing metrics across each plant.
  • Drive continuous improvement to the operations finance monthly reporting package that delivers meaningful content that assists in the management of each key facility in Lakewood, Littleton, Larne, Vietnam, Japan and India.
  • Manages for accurate, timely and complete accounting, reporting and external audits at each key facility.
  • Accountable for supporting the development of the annual budget and quarterly forecast cycles for each key facility.
  • Maintaining and ensuring implementation of global financial policies in a manner designed to promote profitable growth, protect assets, and meet all regulatory and internal reporting requirements including Japanese Sarbanes Oxley in conjunction with Corporate Finance.
  • Ensure execution of key initiatives working effectively within a highly collaborative environment.
  • Lead and develop the finance teams at each Plant location including extensive 1x1 meetings, developing annual Balanced Scorecards, personal development plans. 
  • Manages and provides leadership for the functional group’s development, direction, and effectiveness, adhering to organizational policies and processes and supporting overall business and corporate objectives.





Bachelor’s degree or, equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.  MBA preferred.



Minimum 10 years experience

  • Manufacturing experience, health care, Bio-tech and/or regulated manufacturing a plus
  • CPA and/or CMA certification is strongly preferred
  • Experience working in a large international organization with specific experience working across and consolidating international subsidiaries
  • Understanding of accounting guidance (IFRS preferred).

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

CPA and/or CMA certification is strongly preferred



An equivalent competency level acquired through a variation of these qualifications may be considered.


Typical Office Environment requirements include: reading, speaking, hearing, close vision, walking, bending, sitting, and occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.

Target Pay Range:  $177,000.00 to $221,300.00  -  Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base:  30.0%
