JOB TITLE: SALES CONSULTANT FRANCOPHONE AFRICA

JOB SUMMARY

  • Develop the market for Terumo BCT businesses in territory under the supervision of the Country manager and regional manager/distributor managers of the different territories.
  • Working closely with the distributor in preparing and implementing the solution at customer site.
  • Drive the utilization rate of our devices in close collaboration with the distributor.
  • Accountable for sales, training & application support.
  • Without significant direction, planning & organizing activities in coordination with Terumo BCT distributors.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Working through the distributor and driving sales performance, the sales consultant has the responsibility to:

  • Generate necessary sales to meet or exceed sales goals. Coordinate activities with the distributor and the internal sales organization to generate and grow demand.
  • Support sales process from prospecting to the final agreement and implementation of the designated products and services.
  • Distribute information pertaining to our products to the distributor and the end users. Responsible for training of the distributor and end customers.
  • Develop and implement strategies and programs in conjunction with marketing, ensuring coordination with other business areas, corporate sales management and the distributor(s)
  • Provides input to design a pricing strategy
  • Is responsible for the preparation of tender technical specifications
  • Track and analyze progress and trends, document monthly sales and inventory forecast, provide monthly forecast updates and prepare annual territory sales plan
  • Support Medical affairs to generate and drive Scientific presentations and develop KOL management
  • Administration / Internal communications: Manage budget and expenses, adhere to company policies and communicate effectively with EMEA corporate and field personnel
  • Personal and professional development: Continuously improvement of product and process knowledge as well as persistently developing selling-, negotiating- and presentation skills

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education

Degree in business  or life sciences

Experience

  • A minimum of 3- 5 years sales experience in Life Sciences industry, preferably in medical devices
  • Experience in creating and implementing sales strategies
  • Experience understanding business products and applications
  • Demonstrated advanced selling skills and sales techniques
  • Experience in working with distributors
  • Experience in identifying agents in difficult markets.
  • Solid experience and contacts in Francophone Africa
  • Knowledge of the regulatory landscape in Francophone Africa (FWA).

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Obtain Sign- off on products  prior to delivering training. Priority on Apheresis (Trima and Optia)

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • This position will be based in Ivory Coast and is field based;
  • This position will report directly to the Country Manager Middle Africa
  • Frequent travelling (up to 70%)
